Located on a secluded 147 acre ranch in the Hills of Central Texas near the Town of Evant - in the middle of nowhere yet close to everywhere. 




As a young Austin policeman (now retired Texas Ranger) Ray Martinez
was the officer who ended the Charles Whitman massacre from the UT
tower in 1966 when he gunned Whitman down atop the tower. He has
since written two books, "They Call Me Ranger Ray" and "Creating the
Texas Lawman". Here he presents Richard with copies of each as the
beginnings of the Eagle Force Academy library. Parenthetically, the
Ranger Ray book presented is the last one available as there will be
no more printings. With all the trauma and stress of the Whitman
Massacre, he thought it was fitting that the last copy rest in our
library as a source of inspiration to law enforcement personnel who
will pass through our gates.
 

Eagle Force Academy is the only facility in the U.S. dedicated to the treatment of peace officers
 suffering from the career endangering and often deadly disease of alcohol and/or drug dependency and  co-occurring disorders, i.e. PTSD.
